If you’ve changed your name, address or job, there’s a good chance your money is split across several accounts, or held by the Australian Tax Office (ATO) waiting to be claimed.

Last year we helped our members find more than $37 million in lost or unclaimed super (2014/15 Financial Year). But there’s still billions of dollars of lost super in Australia, and some of it might be yours.

How do I search for my super?

We can find your super for you with your tax file number and your permission, we can search for any money that might be in another fund or held by the ATO in your name. We can also move it into your Kinetic Super account so it’s all in one place.

The quickest way to combine your super is to give us a call on 1300 304 000. We can help you search and transfer your super over the phone!

You can also use our online service. Here’s how:

  • Register or log in to your account through Member Online Services.
  • Go to Personal Details and enter your tax file number, and tick the checkbox labeled “Super Search Consent”.
  • Confirm we have your current email address so we can let you know what you find.
  • Once you get the results by email, you can then bring your super together online.

Alternatively, jump online to your MyGov account at to find any lost or unclaimed super you may have.

Combine your super

If you have multiple super accounts, you could be paying fees and insurance premiums for each one. It can really add up and eat into your savings. By combining your money into your Kinetic Super account (also called ‘consolidating’ or ‘rolling over’) you might be able to save much more.

Before moving your other super to your Kinetic Super account, you should check if administration, exit or withdrawal fees apply and/or if you’ll lose any insurance entitlements.

You can also use our online service.

  • Find the name of your old super fund, and your member number. 
    If you can’t find your details, we can search for any super that’s linked to your tax file number. Follow the instructions above and we’ll email you the results of our search.
  • Log in to Member Online Services.
    If you haven’t registered, you can sign up here.
  • Click the ‘Consolidate Super’ tab at the top of the page.
    Enter the fund name and your member number, and we’ll take care of the rest.


You can also apply by returning a completed Request to transfer form.

From 12 May 2018, Kinetic Super will complete a Successor Fund Transfer into Sunsuper Superannuation Fund (ABN 98 503 137 921). Any member benefits held with Kinetic Super will be transferred to Sunsuper with effect from 12 May 2018.
